The Centre's membership is about 133 of whom most reside in and around Pretoria and about 40 are "country" members. The Club's own Clubhouse was completed in 1991. A general meeting of members (called a "Natter 'n Noggin") is held on the first Monday of each month (details below). Every third Sunday of the month some form of event (social or competitive) is organised which usually takes the form of runs to places of interest, driving tests, treasure hunts, etc but might also include concours competitions and even longer, week-end away runs. What benefits are there?Advice, support and assistance is always available regarding the source and availability of spares, or any special services that owners may require. Advice can also be given to assist those wishing to import spares from overseas.
Members have the facility of joining a group car insurance scheme which offers substantial benefits, especially to owners of older cars, at very competitive premiums. The club is affiliated to the MG Car Club in England, as well as being a member of the South African National Body. Monthly MeetingsA Natter 'n Noggin is held on the first Monday of every month (except holidays) at 19:30 for 20:00 at the Clubhouse on the corner of 26th Avenue and Umgazi Road, Menlo Park, Pretoria. The Northern Transvaal Centre was formed in 1978 to meet the needs of MG owners and enthusiasts in Pretoria and surrounding areas to the East, West and North in the then Transvaal Province of South Africa. In 2002 it was renamed Northern Centre.
